My accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in music from California State University at Los Angeles.
I owned and managed an established vocal/piano school for more than 30 years as a private teacher, and performed as a professional singer/entertainer/musician/composer for over 20 years in Calgary, Alberta.
My company, Hollywood & Vine Co. Music, gave me the opportunity to work with multi-cultural students who performed all styles of music ranging from Classical, Pop, Jazz, Country, Blues
I am extremely proud that my former student Kayla Iovan won the 2010 David Foster Star Search competition in Calgary.
Giving myself freely to the community, I have donated time creating, directing and performing shows for:
- The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta (Graceful Arts Program)
- Starlight Foundation of Alberta, entertaining seriously ill children
- For The Love of Children organization, which benefits special needs children
- various senior citizen centres, which brings joy to the elderly through music
I served on the Board of Directors for a year at The Riverbend Community Association in Calgary, Alberta as Activities VP, where I utilized my creative talents organizing fun events for the community.
I was presented with a “Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award” in 2011, and granted Canadian Citizenship in January 2012.
I was featured on a 12-week television program called “Vocal Power Boot Camp”, which showcased my original teaching techniques and scales.
